Nick spent most of his life talking about writing a movie. Then one day, after being made redundant, he finally did it. His first effort was the New Zealand movie Stickmen. It made about 2.7 million bucks in sales, sold to 26 countries around the world and (the best bit) is quoted in the pub. It was the first NZ movie to have a presale to the UK in ten years. It’s sold thousands of copies on DVD, won awards including best screenplay at the NZ film awards. Since then he’s devoted all time to writing. He’s currently working on a raft of screenplays and various TV projects both here and abroad. His next film – a twisted horror film – “ The Ferryman” is released later this year. Garage Sale, a movie that is a love-letter to the Kapiti Coast and his parent’s obsessive bargain hunting is about to go into production. He shares the writing credit with second writer Linda Niccol. Writing is Nick’s passion. He loves stories and storytelling – in it’s many shapes and forms.
